Delete your PerformApp account

Request deletion of your account and associated data

Last updated: 27 September 2026

You can delete your account directly in the app or send a request by email from this page. In both cases, the process removes the account and its associated cloud Auto Sync data.

Request deletion by email

Enter the email address used for your PerformApp account. The button opens a request addressed to contact@performapp.net in your email app: review and send it to complete your request.

Do not enter passwords, access codes or other sensitive data.

Important: entering an email address does not delete any account and does not prove that you own it.

How the request is handled

  1. The request is processed only after the email reaches contact@performapp.net.
  2. The address entered is used to identify the account, but is not used on its own as proof of identity.
  3. PerformApp requests confirmation from the address associated with the account and, where necessary, further verification. If verification fails, the account is not deleted and no data is disclosed to the person who sent the request.
  4. Deletion begins only after verification; once complete, PerformApp reports the outcome to the verified address.

Delete directly in the app

This is the quickest route and requires an internet connection:

  1. Open PerformApp on your device
  2. Go to More → Profile
  3. Select “Delete account”
  4. Confirm your identity, if requested, and confirm deletion
  5. Wait for the completion confirmation in the app

Data that is deleted

  • the sign-in account and its authentication data;
  • active Auto Sync data, including workout plans, workouts, history, timers, personal catalogue, settings and technical synchronisation data;
  • profile photos and manual cloud backups associated with the account;
  • the local database associated with that account on the device, when deletion is performed from the app.

Guest data on the device

If a separate guest archive already existed on the device, the app returns to that archive and retains it, including its local settings. A separate, inactive imported guest archive may also remain. These archives are not data from the deleted account, which is not converted or copied into them. If no previous guest archive existed, the app restarts with an empty guest archive.

Technical copies and Analytics

Data is removed from the active cloud database, but residual copies may remain for up to 7 days in isolated Cloud SQL technical backups and the point-in-time recovery system (PITR), after which they expire automatically.

A pseudonymous technical deletion receipt, containing none of the account content and used only to track and ensure the reliability of the procedure, also remains for 30 days.

PerformApp does not intentionally link the Firebase UID to the Analytics identifier. Data already received by Google Analytics 4 is therefore not deleted with the account. The GA4 property retains event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; the user-data window is renewed by new activity. For more details, see the Privacy Policy.

When deletion is complete

PerformApp reports deletion as complete only after the cloud procedure has finished. If a stage fails or the connection is interrupted, deletion is not reported as complete and can be resumed safely.
